Gamification in Information Systems
 - GEIS 2027

20 - 22 April, 2027 - Rome, Italy

Within the 29th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems - ICEIS 2027

CHAIR

Fan Zhao
Florida Gulf Coast University
United States

Short Bio
Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Ph.D. in Management Information Systems, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2006). Is a member of the Decision Science Institute, Association for Information Systems, and IEEE. Research interests in: enterprise resource planning, data mining, human-computer interaction, e-commerce, and customer relationship management.

SCOPE

As organizations increasingly adopt advanced enterprise technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, robotic process automation, big data analytics, and intelligent decision-support systems, effective human-computer interaction (HCI) has become critical to successful implementation and adoption. Gamification and other emerging interaction technologies offer new opportunities to improve user engagement, motivation, learning, technology acceptance, and collaboration in enterprise environments.

This special session invites researchers and practitioners to explore innovative, human-centered approaches to designing, adopting, using, and evaluating enterprise information systems. Topics may include gamification, AI-enabled interfaces, adaptive systems, immersive technologies, digital twins, and human-centered design. We welcome theoretical, empirical, design science, case-based, and practice-oriented research that advances understanding of engaging and intelligent enterprise systems.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Gamification for Enterprise Information Systems
  • Behavioral, Cognitive, Motivational, and Psychological Aspects of Gamified Enterprise Applications
  • Human-AI Collaboration in Enterprise Systems
  • Adaptive, Personalized, and Intelligent User Interfaces
  • AI-powered Assistants and Conversational Interfaces for Enterprise Applications
  • Digital Nudging and Persuasive Technologies in Enterprise Environments
  • Enterprise Learning, Employee Training, Onboarding, and Continuous Professional Development Through Gamification
  • Serious Games and Simulation-based Learning for Enterprise Applications
  • Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of Gamified Enterprise Systems
  • Extended Reality (AR/VR/MR) and Immersive Technologies for Enterprise Work and Training
  • Applications of Gamification and HCI in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Healthcare Information Systems, Financial Technologies, Smart Manufacturing, and Other Enterprise Domains
  • Gamification in Information Systems Education, Including Innovative Pedagogies, Learner-centered Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, and Experiential Learning for Preparing Students with Enterprise Systems Knowledge and Digital Competencies
