In conjunction with the 16th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems - ICEIS 2014
SCOPE
The optimization for sustainability theme is attracting increased interest from the Operations management, Information Management, Operations Research, Decision Support Systems and related academic communities because it gives researchers working on optimization techniques the opportunity to increase the impact of their findings by relating their work to current world-wide challenges, such as sustainability, i.e. taking into account the economic, environmental and social dimensions. Latest research including methods, models and algorithms for addressing sustainability problems are welcome to this special session. Also research on decision support systems with special emphasis on the use of mathematical models and/or algorithms required to address the principles of sustainability are encouraged.
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Carbon Capture and Sequestration Problem
- Closed-loop supply chain
- Decision support systems for sustainability
- Disruptions in supply chain and sustainability
- Geographical Information Systems for sustainable development
- Green Operations Management
- Humanitarian Logistics
- Optimization and Operations Research for development
- Reverse Logistics
- Supply chain resilience and sustainability
- Sustainable supply chain
