SATYA CHATTOPADHYAY

Dr. Satya P. Chattopadhyay has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, and Marketing. He teaches International Marketing, Marketing Research and Enterprise Management at the Arthur J. Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton. In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Chattopadhyay, a tenured Associate Professor of Marketing at the University, is engaged in professional development activities through the University's Center for Public Initiatives. He holds a Visiting Professor of Management appointment (Uncompensated), at the Academy of Management of the Kyrgyz Republic. Since 1993, he has been working with the Govt. of Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia to provide business advisory services and training in Quality Management and Export Marketing to the leading agri-business companies. He has presented his research in the United States, Belgium, Russia, Spain, Slovakia, Vietnam and India, and published in scholarly journals. He has conducted seminars and workshops regularly on topics related to Marketing and Total Quality Management in the United States, Russia, Kyrgyz Republic, Hong Kong and in India since 1991. He provided technical assistance on USAID projects in Slovakia in 1996, in Kyrgyz Republic in 1998 and also to the Swiss Development Corporation in their Management Development Program in Vietnam 1997, and Goscominvest in Kyrgyz Republic in their Privatization Project in August and December 1997. Dr. Chattopadhyay is a member of the 4 person SAP team at the Arthur J. Kania School of Management. He has completed extensive training in SAP R/3 business re-engineering, sales and distribution and service management modules and is currently working with clients in blue printing of enterprise processes.
