Scope
Information systems in automotive applications appear versatile according to current technology standards. They range from low-level communication, which serve vital systems like engine and break control, to high-level applications for driver assistance, entertainment and business purpose like mobile office. The latter, for instance, can be implemented by vehicle-to-vehicle networking in broadcasting and Internet access scenarios. This workshop aims at bringing together practitioners and researches for an exchange of concepts and sample applications in automotive information systems for next generation vehicles. The meeting will be held for two days with oral presentations, discussions, and invited talks.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Control and driving systems
• Security and safety systems
• Bus systems
• Wired and wireless communication
• Software load and update
• Vehicle-to-vehicle networking
• Vehicle-to-vehicle broadcast
• Infrastructure-less Internet
• Communication architectures
• Assisted driving
• Information and traffic channels
• Entertainment applications
• Location-based services
• Mobile office applications
• Route guidance
